Once again, the fabulous Kat Bender, has provided me with another blog post topic. We were talking about some of the frustrations of the writing life and she sent me a link to one of the best blog posts ever on this topic. 1000 thank yous Kat! And 10,000 thank yous to Ms. Revis for writing the post.
I bookmarked the post because I know I’ll need to come back to it again and again. If you’ve ever wished you didn’t have this writing dream (even for just a moment)–read this post:

Fantastic post. Without a dream, days can be dark, indeed.
Seriously. Even if the dream isn’t realized for a long time. It’s better to have it. 🙂
Nice One …….. Going To check up on the Dreamy post right now

PS–Thanks for cheering me onward!
thanks for the link, Kourtney. as said before Dreams bring light and magic to our days. thank heavens for dreams – the bigger the better.
You’re welcome, Louise! Dreams are wonderful to have, even if they aren’t yet coming true. Sometimes the road to the dream is long, but at least it sets you on a path! 🙂
I can’t imagine not having a dream of something to reach for. How empty is life without one?
It’s weird because I have friends who don’t have a passion/dream. They seem pretty content to just go with the flow and keep the status quo. Dreams do tend to make us take risks. 😉
Excellent post. Courage to dream on! Thanks for sharing
Beth’s post really inspired me. 🙂 Even when dreams are taking a while, it’s worth dreaming.
Great post, I bookmarked it, too! Thank you for sharing it.
It’s one of those posts I plan to re-read at least once a month to get my head on right. 🙂 Glad you liked it!
My girlfriend had a saying she used often which I like, “He who expects nothing, is rarely disappointed.” I always liked that. If you don’t strive how will you ever know if you could succeed. Nice one.
Very true. Trying and not succeeding are very important parts of life. Not always the most fun to experience but important experiences nonetheless. 🙂
That hits the nail on the head! As I piscean who dreams most of the time (all the time my wife would say) I feel so sorry for people who don’t have dreams. Great post.
I love how she wrote that post. It really spoke to me and made me curious about her book, Across The Universe. 🙂 I was having a self pity party when I read this post and it made me turn my frown upside down. 🙂
Really a great post, Kourtney. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it Naomi! It really hit home with me and I thought this was something that needed to be shared with my writing friends. 🙂
Ww thank you for sharing! This is really inspiring!
Totally turned my day around when I read it! Glad you enjoyed it!
