I am incredibly grateful for all these blog awards from my fellow bloggers.
I was delighted when they popped up in the blog comments while in New York for conferences. I couldn’t blog about them from my Ipad though, which means I am incredibly behind on the blog awards. I love my Ipad but it’s no substitute for a laptop.
I really appreciate all the comments and likes that my blog receives. It’s wonderful to know people are actually reading what I write. 🙂
But these awards are the honey swirled in my tea. I am so thankful that you thought this little blog deserved them. *Blush*
A thousand thank yous for keeping me smiling through my conferences. It was such an energy boost to see the awards.
Because there are several awards, I’m going to mash up the rules ala the fabulous Emmie Mears. I will present each award to 3-7 bloggers, list 5 blog posts I think you should read, and list 10 things you don’t know about me.
Thank you so much to J.C.V. and Sally and IndiaPhare for the One Lovely Blog Award! Receiving it from all three of you means so much! Lovely cubed. 🙂
I pass the One Lovely Blog Award on to these very talented bloggers:
Much gratitude to J.C.V. for the Genuine Blogger Award!
The Genuine Blogger Award goes to a few bloggers I had the pleasure of meeting at conferences. I can attest to how genuine they are:

1o things you don’t know about me:

- I hate dusting. So much so that I let it accumulate until I got a sinus infection.
- I love the beach but despise sunlight.
- My hiccups are bizarre. They have a gaspy sound at the end.
- I wish I had my mom’s blue eyes.
- I still sleep with a stuffed animal…or ten.
- I went to soap opera conventions as a tween.
Congratulations on your awards. I checked out some of your recommended posts and can see why. Keep up the good work.
Pete, thanks so much for stopping by! I’m delighted to hear you liked my posts. I tried to dig up some oldies but goodies. I’ll do my best to keep them entertaining and informative.
Congratulations Kourtney.
Thanks Michael. 🙂 And thanks for stopping by.
Congrats. We love ur blogs esp grandma h. Keep them coming.
Thanks Berry! I’ll get back to the Grandma H stories next week. She’s been pretty funny this week.
Oh, my, all you need now is that mirrored ball trophy. How’s your ballroom dancing?…
Congrats!
LOL. Thanks! It was an huge outpouring of awards! My partner dancing is awful as is my singing. The mirror ball and the grammy remain a distant dream. 🙂
Wow. Such an honor, Kourtney! Thank you! And congrats on your awards. You deserve them without a doubt.
August your blog is the epitome of inspirational. And wickedly kreativ. Thanks so much! I’m excited that this lil blog garnered so much attention from my fellow bloggers. Makes me feel like the past two years of blogging were all worthwhile. : )
Thank you so much for the honor. AND you’ve got this post DONE! (seems like there ought to be an award for that! Good job.)
You are very welcome! 🙂 It took me a couple hours to put the post together, but it was completely worth it. It felt amazing to receive all these awards and to be able to give them out to others. 🙂
Thank you, Kourtney! 😀
You are very welcome Emmie! 🙂
Wow! Thanks so much Kourtney. I love these awards and what they stand for. It’s nice to know that our efforts at blogging and networking mean more than just “getting a job done.”

We really enjoyed meeting you and Emmie at WDC. We had a blast in NY – hope you did too. Thanks so much for the award! We’ve never had that one before 🙂 ((hugs))
Lisa
WDC was such a great experience! I loved meeting so many talented writers. 🙂 NY was super fun. I got to catch up with old friends and family and crash on their couches. You’re very welcome for the award! Just wanted to show my appreciation of your blog.
Hugs,
Kourtney
Thanks so much for the award! I’m flattered!
Jessica, you are very welcome. Love your WDC post. 🙂
Thank you so much, Kourtney, for the VIP Award! I’m already working on my list of nominees 🙂
Keep up the great work on your blog!
You are very welcome! Keep up your fantastic posts. I look forward to reading them!
Thank you so much 🙂
You’re welcome! I love your blog. 🙂
Also, Beatles is one of my fav bands, I hate having attention too and did almost rather crawl in a hole than walk down the aisle at my wedding, too many people watching me, but I had my grandpa leading me down, told him not to let me fall!
I still love listening to them. OMG, I think it is so brave. I would need to be sedated to do it. 🙂 Aw Grandpa must have done an awesome job!
Congratulations on all these, Kourtney, and thank you so much for sending the Kreative Blogger and Very Inspiring Blogger awards my way. I’ve really enjoyed reading all your posts about your conference adventures and thank you for making it really useful for us as well as you. x
Thanks Sally! Each award made me smile and blush. I really enjoy your blog and wanted to pass on recognition for all your hard work. So glad you enjoyed the conference blogs. I know how expensive they are and I want to share as much as I can with fellow writers. 🙂
Thank you so much for this! I feel so grateful and honored.
Do you go to the beach when it rains then? I’ve always loved swimming in the rain.
You are most welcome. 🙂 I look forward to reading more of your blog posts. I do like the beach in the rain, but my favorite time is after 4pm. I still wear sunscreen but the rays are way more bearable. I have also been known to favor a moonlit swim.
Wow congratulations! 😀 Can’t say I’ve seen the ‘very inspiring blog’ before, that’s a new one! Keep doing what you do. 🙂
Thanks Beth! Yeah I’d never seen it before either. 🙂 It was amazing to think so many other bloggers read and like what I’m doing here.
Fab, it’s nice to see great blogs getting the recognition they deserve. Happy Friday! 😀
I totally agree. Limebird’s blog has been getting some amazing awards too! Happy Weekend to come!
Thanks for including Girls With Pens! It was so nice to meet you in NY.
Glad I got to meet you in NY too! Enjoying your blog so much I had to give it an award. Loved your post on pitching!
Congratulations Kourtney, that’s quite a collection and you deserve each and every one! I’m looking forward to following all the links. Intrigued by #3 in your list of ten unknown things… what is your dog’s name and why is it significant?
Thank you for think of me for the One Lovely!
Thanks Tracey! Aw *blushing*. I was tickled salmon pink to receive so many. Lots of great blogs, I promise. LOL. His name is Emerson Langley. Emerson because of my love for Ralph Waldo Emerson and Transcendentalism. Langley was the last name of a dear friend who lost his battle with cancer far too early. Weirdly, I decided on the breed, the color, the gender, and the name. Even more weirdly, the name fits him perfectly. 🙂
You are most welcome for the One Lovely and completely deserved it. I adore your blog. 🙂
As the name was a perfect fit, it was obviously meant to be. Fabulous name and a nice remembrance of Langley. ((Hugs))
I definitely needed this little guy in my life. 🙂 Thanks–I love his name. It keeps my friend forever in my mind. I’ve been thinking of getting Emerson a brother or sister someday. I already have a name set aside for a girl. LOL. ((Hugs back))
