it might be a bad day if…

You start the morning with your bottle of FrizzEase falling in the toilet and you actually contemplate taking it out of the bowl and spraying your hair because your curls are dying. Finally, common sense wins out and you don’t spray toilet water into your hair. You toss the bottle and chalk it up to another bad morning.

Of course my hair looked like I was dragged out of bed kicking and screaming. Perfect for facing another workday.

The rest of the day was filled with your typical annoyances. Spring fever is getting to me. I hate sunlight and yet I want to be outside more. I’m itching to take the dog on a stroll around the city. Watch the sunset in Battery Park with the Statue of Liberty in the background.

No need for a coat or hat. It’s delightful. Instead, I’m stuck indoors at my desk. But this weekend, I promised Emerson another long walk. He loves to sit on the bench and people watch with me.

The time change has me all turned around. I keep waking up an hour earlier than I should and I can’t fall asleep at night. Sometimes I really wish I lived in Arizona. They know this daylight savings thing is crap and they refuse to follow it. Gotta admire them for that.

    Great pictures!

I like the sun, but because I’m so light skinned, it has toasted me on one too many occassions. So I look like the Michilin man when I go to the beach, covered head to toe in clothes and bathed in sun block just in case. Sort of takes the fun out of it, but it’s better than being streched out in a hospital due to severe burns. Been there, done that, never again. A little toilet water sprinkled on me when that happened probably would have been a welcome relief.

Hope you get that long walk with your pup.

    • Thanks! I took them with my cell phone on a sunset walk in Battery Park. The sunsets there are so gorgeous. I feel for you. I’m super pale and direct sunlight tends to make my skin hurt. That’s why I love moonlight. It’s so much gentler on the eyes and skin. 🙂 Ouch sounds like a horrible experience. I hope you are doing well now. IDK, toilet water sprinkled on burned skin sounds like a recipe for a bad infection.

I have many days like that. Beautiful sunset. That’s what life is all about. Enjoy your weekend.

    • The worst was the time I dropped my favorite hairbrush in the toilet. I washed it and kept using it. 🙂 I hear you, I live for sunsets and moonlight walks. I hope you have a great weekend too!

Looks like today is a toilet day. Work is bad and I hate being here. It all started bad when I woke up late. Downhill ever since.

But its Friday. Have a good weekend.

You should contact aclu as your civil liberties were violated. I would go back to that store when you feel better and talk to the manager. Do not let anyone get away with treating you like that. You don’t deserve it.

Yeah, that really sounds like a tough day! I mean when the day starts with your FrizzEase in the toilet bowl, you better get prepared because there’s definitely more to come 😉

But if it makes you feel any better, we all have days like that… Monday morning my little boy almost broke his pinky toe because he was all sleepy and hit the door frame when he walked out of his room. OUCH!

    • Thanks Emma! I hope your little boy is okay. Some mornings you should listen to your gut and stay in bed. others you have to face the day and take whatever it throws at you. 🙂

What do you think?
